Ten Successful Years

Big congratulations to Andy Hills who has just celebrated ten successful years of service with Futures Supplies.

Andy joined the team straight from school as a Warehouse Assistant subsequently he has gained enormous experience in all areas of the business working his way up to Office Manger.

Andy is now responsible for the day to day running of the office, is the company’s ‘Green Champion’ and works tirelessly on the company’s CSR and environmental initiatives heading up the company’s BS EN ISO9001: 2008 and BS EN ISO 14001:2004 quality and environmental management systems.

Andy says, “I was asked to help out in the warehouse the day after my last GCSE, tidying & sweeping up and loading the vans -10 years later I am still here!

Encouraging me to go to college to gain my accounting NVQ and to take on new roles and responsibilities Futures Supplies has been great at providing me with opportunities I might otherwise not have had – a great place to work with a great team”.

Andy is the second member of the Futures Supplies team to reach this amazing milestone. Dan Hills celebrated 10 successful years with Futures Supplies back in 2007.

Congratulations Andy!

The Power of Nitrogen

The safety, reliability and performance of Futures Supplies’ vehicle fleet is paramount to the company delivering safely to your door but we also need to be sure you can be confident we are continually improving our environmental performance and impact.

The recent decision to change the inflation of the company vehicle tyres from the normal compressed air to purified Nitrogen was a win win decision.

Reducing fuel consumption by as much as 5%, increasing tread life by as much as 25%, purified nitrogen has been used to inflate tyres on aircraft and racing cars for many years and its advantages are clear.

Safer motoring, longer tread life and reduced fuel consumption, Nitrogen inflation keeps tyres inflated longer than air does. A properly inflated tyre runs cooler, wears more evenly and runs more freely.

Look for the little green valve caps that indicate our vehicles are running with nitrogen filled tyres and helping the environment.
