In August 2012, Tricia Carr joined Futures Supplies on an apprenticeship as a ‘Sales Support Assistant’. We are delighted to announce that through her hard work, commitment and dedication, Tricia will successfully completes her Business and Administration apprenticeship at the end of September, gaining an NVQ in business and administration.

Tricia has become a valued member of the team, responsible for customer order processing, liaising with customers and prospective customers, maintaining the company’s ACT database and supporting the sales team in their roles. As a result of her commitment and hard work she has been offered, and accepted, a permanent position with the company from October 2013 and we look forward to her continued success.

Delighted with the prospect of full time employment, Tricia says, “I am grateful to everyone at Future Supplies for taking the time to help me and I will continue to work hard as I like working with the team at Futures Supplies and the customers very much.’’

Health & Safety in the workplace is high on the agenda and Future Supplies take the opportunity to improve its team’s awareness and skills in this area whenever possible. As well as our fully qualified on site First Aider Andy Hills, we give other team members the opportunity to gain the HSE approved one-day certification in Emergency First Aid in the workplace. The training is carried out by St John’s ambulance and the one-day course is designed to provide training in emergency First Aid in low risk working environments.

We are delighted that Leiann Kemp and Andy Watts have recently completed and passed with flying colours and are now proudly certified First Aiders.

The course was a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical sessions designed to develop ability and importantly practical confidence and both Leiann, who works in the office and Andy, in the warehouse agreed that the course has provided them with the confidence and skills to deal with basic First Aid issues that may arise.

Supporting our valued customers’ charity events has always been something, which Futures Supplies has long been committed to as part of its belief in forging long term partnerships with its customers along with its commitment to CSR.

On the hottest weekend since 2006 Amy Whittle, our Sales Manager and Daniel Rendall, Business Development Manger ran in the London 10K through the heart of the Capital to support the Principle Cleaning team to help raise funds for The London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy.

The London Centre aims to inspire children with cerebral palsy to develop independence, confidence and self-esteem and to achieve their full potential. It specialises in a teaching method called Conductive Education – a series of structured exercises, which focus on movement, balance, co-ordination, motor control and speech.

This very worthwhile charity is dear to the hearts of our client Principle Cleaning, who have given a long-term commitment to the Charity donating part of its profits annually, raised over £3,000 in sponsorship for its efforts in this one event alone.

We want our customers to have confidence in the goods and services that we supply and we do not think it is enough just to make claims about our quality and environmental credentials. At Futures Supplies, we believe that these should be backed up and certificated by independent bodies, auditors and assessors.

To ensure transparency and creditability, we maintain certification to BS EN ISO 14001:2004 and BS EN ISO 9001:2008 through recertification and annual external auditing carried out by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) who are UKAS accredited.

Accreditation by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is key to ensuring that our customers can have confidence in the quality of goods and in the provision of our services.

We are delighted to have another successful external audit under our belts to demonstrate to our customers’ continual improvement and that we continue to meet and exceed the requirements of the standards.
